Chris
Can’t say I didn’t see this coming but this is the first time I’ll have Justice all by myself. Bella had a business meeting in Miami and left me with my twin. As a man and a father, I’m nervous as hell. In all of my 23 years of life, I’ve never had to be responsible for anyone but me and now that my daughter has entered my life from the beginning I look at life different and music different all because of her.
“Da! Da !” Justice yelled over and over as she bounced up and down in her bouncer. I looked over at her and smiled, “Hey Princess”. “It’s Just You and me kid” I said as she smiled and bounced up and down. I knew deep down she understood me and that’s why we connect in more ways than one. My phone began to go off, the loud sound brought me back to reality. I got up from the couch and picked my phone up from coffee table.
Mama♥Calling…
I smiled and tapped the green button, “Hey Ma”. “Hi Baby, how are you and my lil angel?” she asked as the smile was present in her voice. “She’s good, just playing in her bouncer” I said as I looked over at her. “Good! When are you coming home? I miss my freckled face son” She said as I felt bad hat I haven’t been in Virginia since Just was born. “Soon, Justice needs to see where I come from” I said as I walked up to her in her bouncer.
“You ready to see Grandma?” I asked her as her small dimples showed. “Ma, her dimples just came in” I said as I bent over and picked her up with one arm. “Tell her I love her, please try to come soon. Everyone wants to see the lil angel” Ma said as I looked down at Just. “Alright, well when Bella gets back from her business trip; We’ll talk about” I said as a small yawn escaped from Just’s mouth. “Well put that little one to bed, we’ll talk soon. I love you baby” She said then kissed the phone. I laughed, “Bye Mama, love you too”.
The phone call ended. Small breaths were softly coming from Just, she barely just fell asleep. I pat her back softly, she didn’t even move or stir. I started for the staircase before my phone buzzed notifying me of a text message.

I bit down on my lip andlicked them, damn I’m really missing her. I slide my phone back in my pocket. I reached Just’s room and pushed it open, gladly I already put her in her pajamas earlier so all I had to do was lay her in her crib. I gently laid her in her crib, I watched her sleep peacefully with her mouth slightly open. That’s my girl right there.
I walked out and left a crack in her door. Without Bella here, the house was too quiet for my liking. I reached our bedroom and walked in slowly as my feet drug. I threw myself on the bed and kicked my shoes off.
It’s gonna be a long night.

Today was finally here, not to mention the memories this day held but the important fact of the matter. I couldn’t sleep the entire night, Ty had to make me go to sleep. I didn’t mind that method either, right when it hit 7 am. I got up and ran to the bathroom to start my process.
Damn, it’s really been a year since I’ve had Alyx. My baby is one today, that shit is tripping me out. The thing about today is that I can’t erase the events of that day out my mind, I can only look past it and focus on the now; my son is healthy and handsome like his father. A warm kiss grazed my neck as I spun around quickly, “Hey Babe, I’ve been calling your name for a minute now” Ty said smiling and examining my wet body. “Eyes up here” I said giggling poking him.
“My bad, but Happy Mother’s Day Baby” He said smiling then peck my lips. “Thank you Babe” I giggled then returned the kiss. He pulled a box behind his back and presented to me, “Just a lil something something for the beautiful mother of my son” He said smiling. “Aww..Baby you didn’t have to but thank you!” I beamed as I opened the box that revealed a 18 carat bracelet from Tiffany’s . “It’s not just my day it’s also prince’s big day” I said cheesing. “I know and a nigga went all out for his lil man” Ty boasted with a devious smile. “Oh no, I know that smile. What you get him Michael?” I asked crossing my arms across my chest.
“You’ll see later but get dressed and get prince up, I’m making breakfast” He said smiling and walking out the bathroom. I nodded and admired my bracelet as I slipped it on my wrist, I love that crazy ass nigga.
I finished drying off, lotioned up my body, then proceeded to attempting to find something to wear. I’m not tryna be all dressed up today, It’s suppose to be in the 100s. I pulled out my white strap sandals and white bandeau. “Kenn! Hurry Up I’m Almost Done” Ty yelled as I rolled my eyes and finished grabbing my clothes. I slid my clothes on with my sandals next, weird thing is not once Prince’s monitor didn’t go off. Something ain’t right. I made my way out the door and down the hall to his room.
“Poohka” I cooed as I opened the door. Lord help me, this child was knocked out cold. I sighed and knew this would be a battle, I walked up to his crib and pulled the front down. His little chest rose and fell as he breathed. “Alyx baby, wake up sweetie” I said as I rubbed his arms. He shifted a little and rolled over, did my son just pull a Ty move ? “Guess we doing it the hard way” I mumbled out loud. I reached down and picked him up, a quick tantrum surfaced, big tears started coming down his face. “Stop that crying” I said as his tantrum got bigger.
“What’s wrong with him?” Ty asked as he appeared at the doorway. “He’s mad at me cause I just woke him up” I said as I carried him to Ty. Ty smirked and held him close, Alyx’ tears slowly stopped and he calmed down. “I don’t have time for his tantrums, I don’t know where he’s getting it from but it’s gonna stop” I said then walked out his room.
I’m not dealing with the tantrums,not this young either.

“Happy Mother’s Day Baby” PJ said hugging me then kissing my cheek. I smiled and returned the favor, “Thanks Ma, Happy Mother’s Day to you also”. Everybody was slowly showing up, I loved Mama PJ for always wanting to bring everybody together especially for Prince’s birthday. “Hey Mama P” Chris sang as he came into the kitchen with Justice in his arms. “Hey Chris” She said greeting him with a warm smile. “Hi G Baby” I cooed as she lifted her head off Chris’ shoulder and smiled brightly at me. “Yeah, can you take her? I need to call Bella” Chris said walking to me and handing me her. What’s up with that nigga? “How’s my pretty baby” I said to her as I tickled her and kissed her cheeks.
“Is Chris okay?” Mama P asked as she checked on the food on the stove and chop some veggies on the chopping board. “I think he’s going through it but he’ll be fine” I said looking at her as she multi tasked. I always admired Passionaye, she’s been there for Ty and I when we really needed it the most. “Well I’m almost done but are the guys done setting up Alyx’ stuff?” she asked as she turned the stove down. “Mijo, Tarell, and Laith are finishing up setting the tent and balloons” I said watching them joke around and slacking off a little bit. “They better not be slacking off either or I ain’t feeding them” she said joking as I laughed knowing she was kind of serious.
“Why couldn’t you take a red eye? This shit ain’t right yo!” I heard Chris yell. “Nah, I’ll tell my daughter that her mom couldn’t make it home for Mother’s Day because work is that important” He said. I smirked because Chris didn’t know that Bella was probably leaving LAX at this moment with Mama J, that was part one of his surprise to his upcoming birthday. ”I am calm, I’m just stating the obvious” He said as I could hear him pacing the tile floors in the foyer. “Alright then, I’ll talk to you later” He said assuming he ended the call.
“Chris baby?” Mama P called out to him. “Ma’am?” He said walking into the kitchen. “Can you see if Michael is finished with what he’s suppose to be doing?” She asked without stop doing what she was doing. “Yes Ma’am” He said. These niggas at times were worst than me.

“Happy Birthday To You! Happy Birthday to You! Happy Birthday to Prince Alyx! Happy Birthday to you!” Everyone sang as Alyx clapped his hands tryna reach for his birthday cake. “Baby did you get his face cake?” I asked as he nodded as Mama P brought it out. “A face cake?” Mama J asked. I smiled as PJ set it in front of Alyx, “don’t do that to my Godson Kenni” Bella said smiling. Ty helped Alyx blow his candles out and pictures were being taken from everyone. I couldn’t ask for a better birthday for Prince.
“Shit!” Ty mumbled as cake frosting was spread all over his face from Alyx. ”Lex!” Thai yelled as he reached out to her. “Hi TT’s baby” she said grabbing a napkin cleaning his face off. Everybody was relaxing and talking to each other. “So Chris was really in his feelings about me potentially not being here?” Belle asked with a smirk on her face as she walked up to me. I rolled my eyes and smiled,”Yes fool! That bright ass nigga loves you to death” I said giggling. “Oh I Know, it just sounds good coming from my bestie” She said laughing. All the girls laughed and observed the boys in their atmosphere.
“Uh Kenn…you might want to check your twitter” Honey said lowly in my ear. It’s always something going on, I reached for my phone and pressed the center button. I quickly tapped my twitter app and waited for it to load, “Honey why can’t you just tell me what’s going on?” I asked with confusion in my face. “Because it’s not in my place, you need to see that shit for yourself” she said looking at me seriously. I sighed and rolled my eyes, my mentions was lit and calling my name. It’s to the point I’m tired of the bullshit people have towards me, especially Ty’s exes.
I finally tapped the mentions button and waited for it to load.

I laughed a little too loud, all the girls heads snapped in my direction looking at me crazy. “Stop staring at me all crazy” I said then returning to my phone.

“What are you up too Kennedi?” Heather asked arching her eyebrow at me. “Why do I have to be up to something Heavie” I said smirking. “Well I ’m sure Twitter will give us the answer, Kenn stay putting bitches in check on there” Thai said laughing as she rocked my big baby. “Reese I know you ain’t talking, you the main one!” I retorted pointing at her. “You right but I at least mention the bitch she said as we laughed.
Despite the fact, I’m not gonna let this irrelevant bitch fuck this day up for me again. I’m too grown to be fighting that bitch, I’m a mother before anything and a role model for my son.
